Dear friends,
It's summertime! The sun is out, the air is festive with summerly mirth, and it's a perfect time to get your flirt on...but for all of us who identify as feminist, how do we go about enjoying our romance while staying true to our principles? How do we push back against constricting gender norms while still finding love and pleasure?
NOMAS-Boston is excited to host a fun discussion on dating and romance while keeping our feminist cred. We're expecting some awesome guests, including Jaclyn Friedman, co-editor of "Yes Means Yes" and all-around superstar, and Shira Lipkin, author and blogger extraordinaire, as well as several other exciting voices (check back here for more information on our guests!)
Come for the discussion. Come for good beer/cocktails. Come to meet interesting people who love justice and also, potentially flirting.
Details:
WHEN: Thursday, July 29th, from 6-9 pm (the actual discussion will start at 6:30 to give people time to socialize and mingle, and probably end around 8:30 to give people time to practice our newly learned skills, should they wish to!)
WHERE: Lir Pub on Boylston Street, in their basement room.
RSVP: Here on the Facebook page: http://www.facebook.c..., or email Dave at david.rini [at] gmail.com
COST: Free!
Sincerely,
The NOMAS-Boston Planning Team

ABOUT NOMAS-BOSTON - www.nomasboston.org
The Boston chapter of the National Organization for Men Against Sexism (NOMAS-Boston) is a profeminist community-building and activist organization, open to all genders, that works to promote equality and justice in the areas of race, sex, gender identity and expression, and sexual orientation. We seek a greater understanding of the ways in which these identity-based experiences interconnect within individuals and society at large. As an organization committed to social justice and nonviolence we strive to create feelings of closeness and connection for men in order to enhance the lives of our membership and all people with whom we interact.

How The SoJust Calendar Works
Gray events are hosted by Socializing for Justice and an RSVP is requested. All other events on this calendar are hosted by other groups - we cross-post social justice-related events we hear about. Let us know about events we're missing! Check the How to Post Events Page for detailed instructions on how to post.
If you attend an event on this Calendar, let the organizers know you found out about them on the SoJust Calendar at www.sojust.org!
